After shots in Milwaukee: Bucks cancel public viewing
The Milwaukee Bucks canceled a planned public viewing for their decisive playoff game at the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
The defending champion of the North American basketball league NBA reacted to an incident last Friday evening when 21 people were injured in three different locations at Schüussen in Milwaukee after the Bucks' home game.
A crime scene was located in the center of the US city near the so-called "Deer District" next to the home venue of the Bucks. Around 11,000 people had followed the Bucks' home game against Boston on this public viewing, over 17,000 people visited the game in the arena.
"In order to enable the authorities to continue to investigate the incidents, we decided to cancel the public viewing," said the Bucks.
The seventh game between the Bucks and Celtics in Boston will decide which team will move into the third playoff round. The German national basketball player Daniel Theis is active at the Celtics.
