Square ENix announces six new titles Dragon Quest

To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the Classic JRPG Franchise, Square Enix organized this Thursday live extravagance, showing the future of Dragon Quest. Six new games have been announced during one-hour live broadcast, including a new public title that brings the beloved franchise in the next generation after the critical success of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of An Elusive Age.

The event started with the revelation of Dragon Quest Keshi Keshi, a free puzzle game for Android and iOS, featuring classic Dragon Quest characters and monsters like Slimes like gums (yes, gums), which must be aligned To erase the designs of monsters of a notebook. This puzzle game should go out in the world later this year.

Then there was a brand new version of the Dragon MMORPG Quest X only in Japan, bringing a radical redesign to the game. Version 6 will end the history of Dragon Quest X and will be followed by the exit of Dragon Quest X Offline - A reimagination of Dragon Quest X with a brand new "super distorted" style that will be playable without internet connection. Unfortunately, these ads also confirmed that there is no global release project of online or offline versions in the near future.

The following announcement was intriguing - Square Enix continues to recreate older titles with an updated version of Dragon Quest 3: The Seeds of Salvation in the HD-2D style. This artistic direction is best known for its use in Octopath Traveler and the next Project Triangle Strategy, and here it is just as amazing. This remake has not yet received an exit date, but Square Enix will publish the return of the legendary Erdrick hero to consoles at the same time all over the world.

This may have brought us to the two greatest advertisements of the stream. First of all, Dragon Quest Treasures: a spin-off of Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of An Elusive Age with the brothers and sisters treasure hunters Mia and Erik. Located a few years before Dragon Quest 11, Treasures follows a young Mia and Erik as they travel to another world. This game has been described as "an RPG, but nothing like a traditional". Once again, there is still no release date except for the promise of a simultaneous world exit - a current theme throughout the stream.

And finally, what we were expecting: Dragon Quest 12. Few things were revealed on the next large public Dragon Quest game, but we got some key details. First, his subtitle, The Flames of Fate. The subtitle was explained by the creator of the Yuji Hori series to mean that players will have to choose their own path through the game, making decisions that affect both gameplay and history. Horii also described the game as "a dragon quest for adults", promising a darker tone and world than previous light titles in the series. Large changes will be made to Dragon Quest's classic turn combat system, but Horii assures the public that the "command fighting" system will not disappear. Once again, no release or console date has been revealed, except that Square Enix hopes for a simultaneous global output.

Between spin-offs, remakes and a brand new title in the main Dragon Quest series, the future looks more radiant than ever for the JRPG franchise.
