Doom Eternal: Update 6.66: Horden mode and Battle mode revision; Switch

At the Quakecon 2021 panel, Executive Producer Marty Stratton and Game Director Hugo Martin presented the Update 6.66 for Doom Eternal (from 14.99 € at Buy). It includes the horde mode for single players in which the players need to fight against demon waves to set their way to the ranking track. The Horden mode is the replacement for the ICE-laid invasion mode.

ID Software: _ While you fight through the demon tower, high priority targets can be marked with the games for a massive point bonus! While you play and climb the rankings, more content (and challenges) are unlocked, the high playback value and more dead demons offer than ever fit on a meat hook.

Update 6.66 also includes two new master levels (Worlds Spear and Marskern) and a revision of Battle mode. Promised an improved game search (similar level of players) and the new Arena Bastion. When the update will appear, is still unclear.

Last but not least: Doom Eternal - The Ancient Gods, Part Two (Second part of the singleplayer enlargement) will appear on August 26, 2021 for Switch.
